We use our fingers, hands and arms continuously throughout each day, and it is important to keep the energy channels open and flowing...especially through the joints of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and fingers.
In this guided movement series Catherine Siri Sat begins with stimulating the long lines of energy that flow from fingertips to shoulders/chest/upper back, then focuses on the wrist and elbow joints.
Once the entire arm and hand has the energy channels open and flowing the movement focuses on articulating each finger individually to encourage brain/finger coordination and balance the musculature of the hand.
The series ends with a movement practice from Qi Gong that stimulates the flow of energy in all 3 joints of each finger - this is particularly beneficial if you have inflammation in the finger joints as it gently opens the energy channels.
Although these movements are presented as a series, you can change the order or only use the movements that you are guided to use to nurture your own body.
Remember: ALWAYS MOVE WITHIN YOUR AUTHENTIC RANGE OF MOTION - listen to your body and be very gentle. When we are opening energy channels in our body it is important to remember that LESS IS MORE.
